Since all internal positions are engaged primarily in serving the interests of Indigenous people, the Red Rock Indian Band shall give preference to Indigenous people who possess the requisite skill set and experience.

Summer Students

The Red Rock Indian Band is seeking 2 college or university students interested in a dynamic and varied 10 week paid program with one of our strategic partners, Parks Canada in Nipigon. Possible learning opportunities include trails development, ecology conservation and monitoring practices, community-centred program development, skills training and certifications, as well as general skills development.

This program will develop skills across multiple disciplines and provide valuable entry level job experience that helps lay the groundwork for great careers while working in the region.

Personal Support Worker

Closing Date: 12:00PM 20 April, 2018

Red Rock Indian Band requires an energetic, motivated and career-minded Personal Support Worker to assist in the basic care of patients by answering call signals, bathing, dressing and grooming patients, and supplying and emptying bed pans. Other responsibilities will include the serving of meal trays, providing assistance in feeding patients, making beds and maintaining client’s home. The Personal Support Worker will also assist patients in their daily activities, physical exercise, and will move patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.

Applicants must possess the following:

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Personal Support Worker

  • Current CPR Certification required

  • Certificate – Food Safety Awareness Program recognized by a Public Health Unit

Lands & Resources Consultation Intern


The Red Rock Indian Band is currently seeking applicants for an Intern position in the Consultation Lands and Resources Office. Under the Direction of Chief and Council and the Consultation Office Staff the intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the Core Consultation Point Person with all community consultation

  • Helping act as a consultation contact for industrial organizations as well as the Federal and Provincial government

  • Oversee GIS mapping of Traditional Values in the RRIB traditional territory


  • College Diploma or University Degree within the last two years

  • No prior experience in related field of study

  • Analytical and problem solving skills to review, analyze and evaluate data and information
