Cashier (Part-Time)

The Red Rock Indian Band is now seeking to hire one part-time cashier.

Housing Manager (Full-Time)

The Housing Manager directs operations of all housing and on-reserve properties on Lake Helen Reserve. The Housing Manager coordinates the construction of affordable housing, ensuring they are timely and up to standard. He/she develops and implements plans for administration of housing projects. He/she conducts surveys of local rental rates and participates in the setting of rental rates. The Housing Manager is responsible for the oversight of all administrative and management of public housing operations. This includes managing any services -- renovations, RRAP Applications, and housing inspections.

Community Engagement Coordinator

Under the direction of Chief and Council, this position will be primarily responsible for assisting with the coordination between Red Rock Indian Band and WSP (service provider on behalf of MTO). The project involves the completion of a Planning and Preliminary Design Study for a potential alternate access across the Nipigon River, on Hwy 11/17 in Nipigon. The Community Engagement Coordinator will assist with the development of a Traditional Land Use Study and actively participate in the project, both in the field and in meetings, presentations, and studies.

The Community Engagement Coordinator must possess the following:

  • Must be a member of Red Rock Indian Band
  • Ability to speak and understand Ojibwe language would be considered an asset
  • Experience coordinating with Indigenous community members and leadership
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with discussing traditional use of lands and resources with Indigenous community members
  • Strong communication and computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Experience using Geographic Information System (GIS) Software (e.g. ArcGIS) would be an asset
  • Must be a team player
  • A valid driver's license

Lands & Resources Consultation Intern

The Red Rock Indian Band is currently seeking applicants for an Intern position in the Consultation Lands and Resources Office. Under the Direction of Chief and Council and the Consultation Office Staff the intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the Core Consultation Point Person with all community consultation

  • Helping act as a consultation contact for industrial organizations as well as the Federal and Provincial government

  • Oversee GIS mapping of Traditional Values in the RRIB traditional territory


  • College Diploma or University Degree within the last two years

  • No prior experience in related field of study

  • Analytical and problem solving skills to review, analyze and evaluate data and information
