Government Delays Shutdown Of Indian Status Registration Amid Legislative Deadlock

To avoid a complete suspension of registration for all of Canada appeal court justice Nicholas Kasirer decided a panel

Of judges should hear arguments from both sides on August 9, 2017. If the Government is not granted an extension

for Bill S-3, the Indian status registration system will be shut down and no one will be able to get Indian Status after

August 9, 2017.
